Michael McIntyre was born in 1976. He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and looked remarkably Chinese in appearance. His parents were both tremendously talented; his father wrote the Kenny Everett Show and his mother can give birth to Chinese babies.
Michael observed the world unpaid until 2003 when he began his stand up comedy journey when he was nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival. Since then he has sold out theatres across the land, been a regular face on TV, been nominated for Best Live Stand-up at the the 2008 British Comedy Awards, performed twice on the Royal Variety Performances, twice on the BBC's Live at the Apollo and his DVD has become the highest selling debut stand-up DVD of all time.
He has been married to Kitty for 5 years, a woman who has been repeatedly described as 'out of his league'. He has two sons with the incredible middle-class name Lucas and Oscar.
